NETMedia - Imagining and Realizing at WinDays 2006.

[April, 2006.] Microsoft WinDays 2006 is the most important business and technology conference in the region. This year, it was held in Opatija from April 25th to 28th with traditional pre-conference day held on April 24th. Record number of participants (over 1.750 people) had a chance to visit 170 lectures held by 150 lecturers thus making the conference a great success. This year's four conference days were reserved for sharing knowledge on Microsoft technologies and products, discussing the use of existing and new technologies for tackling new business challenges and connecting and bonding within the community of Microsoft partners, experts and users.

NETMedia, participating for the fifth time and lecturing for the third, had an opportunity to get the most relevant and the most detailed insight in the use of the existing technology for resolving business processes and an insight in the forthcoming technology as well as to make new business contacts, exchange ideas, share knowledge and meet partners as well as competitors.

NETMedia’s Maja Cukusic and Ivan Saskor held and attended interesting lectures, tried some hands-on labs and visited evening parties :-), while Ivan also held Ask the Experts session on architecture application. Maja lectured with Davor Matkovic (instead of Tomislav Alujevic Grgas) from Split and Dalmatia County for public sector. Lecture called ambitiously as “Split and Dalmatia County: planning and developing information system for modern administration” (367.zip, 1,8 MB) presented project that started in 2004 from its beginnings to plans for future developments using three demos of three different solutions (CMS, Intranet and DMS). Ivan, on the other hand held his first lecture “VS Team Edition for Software Architects – practical demonstration” (114.zip, 0,8 MB) for developers/architects. His great demo earned a lot of points from visitors. “Banking services via mobile phones” (273.zip, 1,8 MB) is the title to his second lecture held with Tonci Kaleb from HVB Splitska Banka. Two lecturers presented the pilot project of banking applications for mobile users within Mobility section.
